Bale Counting System
Calibrate once, then count rows × columns from a rectified trailer face. Lightweight, fast, and accurate to + - one bale for 95% of loads.
AgriOptix was created with one clear goal to bring practical, camera-based automation into everyday farm operations, while remaining afordable for smaller farms. The company was founded by a Harper Adams agriculture and farm technology student with first-hand experience of how difficult it can be to make new technology work reliably on a real farm. AgriOptix started as a small project but quickly developed into something much bigger.
Today, we’re focused on building simple, reliable systems that solve real problems. Our bale counting software uses calibrated camera input and geometry-based detection to automatically count bales on trailers in seconds helping farms save time during harvest and keep accurate records without guesswork. Alongside that, our weighbridge automation system identifies trailers and records incoming loads autonomously, without the driver needing to leave the cab. Both systems are designed to run on affordable edge devices like NVIDIA Jetson modules, keeping the cost low and the setup simple.
The long-term goal of AgriOptix is to create a connected network of smart, vision-based systems that work together across the farm. By combining automation, data collection, and machine learning, we aim to improve efficiency and traceability, not just for large-scale operations, but for every farm looking to modernise without overcomplicating things or making big investments.
Agriculture is changing fast, and we believe technology should grow alongside it, not against it. Our focus isn’t on replacing people or reinventing farming it’s on making the tools that make farming better. From bale counting to full-scale site automation, AgriOptix is helping to lay the groundwork for the next generation of intelligent farm systems.
Calibrate once, then count rows × columns from a rectified trailer face. Lightweight, fast, and accurate to + - one bale for 95% of loads.
Devices detect trailers, capture snapshots, and post load summaries to a central dashboard, no need to leave the cab and handles all weighbridge loads in seconds completly autonomously.
